Mike has 15 years of coaching as well as strength and conditioning under his belt. He was most recently the co-head coach for the San Diego State Track & Field Team while also serving as the team’s strength and conditioning coach. He is currently on the national staff for The International Pole Vault Summit where he has been a speaker and developmental coach for the last 14 years. He also worked as an assistant track coach at the University of Utah, Fresno State, and the University of Nebraska as well as Golden West High School.
Many of Mike’s athletes have excelled while working with him. At the 2008 USA Olympic Trials for Track & Field, Mike coached four athletes—three in the pole vault and one in the shot put. Mike relishes the challenge of training people and enabling them to exceed their expectations. Mike is a NSCA certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and USAW Level 1 Olympic Weightlifting Club Coach. He has a master's degree in Psychosocial Aspects of Sport from the University of Utah. He is also a Certified Russian Kettlebell Instructor.
Brooke started her athletic career as one of the top high school pole vaulters in the country during that time. She held the national sophomore class record for the event and was ranked number one in the country going in to her senior year of high school. She was a NCAA Division I pole vaulter at Fresno State and the University of Utah with a best of 13 feet 5 inches. She currently trains and competes in triathlons.
An athlete for more than 15 years and a coach for 10, she understands performance training and what it takes to get to the next level.
Brooke has two master's degrees from the University of Utah and California State University Northridge. She has a B.A. from Fresno State. Brooke is an Agatsu Certified Kettlebell Instructor.
Casey has a B.S. Degree from San Diego State in Kinesiology. He served as an intern in the SDSU Athletics weightroom where he worked with football, swimming and diving, track and field, women's soccer, softball, and basketball. He was also an intern at Bishops High School in La Jolla where he worked with high school athletes and conducted strength and agility camps. He has an extensive background in speed and agility training.
Casey is from Vermont where he played basketball in high school.
Andy has been a chiropractor in Carlsbad for the past six years. Prior to opening his office Andy played football at SDSU and in France, and because of his own involvements in sports his office focuses on sports rehabilatation. His office houses the Carlsbad location of Foundation Strength. He has combined physical therapy, chiropractic and performance training to take care of your player from hurt to playing at a higher level. Cari is the physical therapist for Foundation Strength. She has an athletic background competing in many different sports and was most recently a professional surfer. Cari has practiced physical therapy in a wide variety of clinical settings from hospital based to clinics specializing in manual orthopedic physical therapy, and sports medicine. Her professional experience also includes treating a wide range of orthopedic sports injuries; including young athletes, the weekend warrior, world class and professional athletes.
Cari has a Masters in Physical therapy from Emory University (1993). She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska.
