Evaluate–Correct–Build–Perform
We come from the background of performance sports and performance training. We have worked with athletes and people from all walks of life and assess every person to determine the most productive way to make each individual better. Training is age appropriate and geared toward correcting imbalances first, then getting results the right way.
Performance training is for everyone! Every person is in need of flexibility, core strength, cardiovascular fitness, and overall strength to live life. Our clients say that after training with us, they feel younger and can do things they haven't been able to do in years. Our sports performance clients are able to take their athleticism to a new level.
We specialize in the functional training of youth and teen athletes to handle the rigors of competitive athletics. There are many myths about the training of young and pre-adolescent athletes arguing that conditioning is either unsafe or unhealthy. Numerous scientific and medical studies have demonstrated that a properly managed resistance training program is safe and has no negative impact on epiphyseal (growth) plate development. Lastly, young athletes who participate in regular, well-supervised strength training programs usually experience fewer and less severe injuries on the field than athletes who train improperly or not at all. The real danger facing most athletes is improper training and a lack of physical preparation.
At Foundation Strength & Conditioning, every training session is designed to correct imbalances, teach proper motor patterns, and increase strength in a way that maintains balance while improving performance. We work our athletes out in small groups, yet they progress at their own pace. This small group format is not only optimal to performance enhancement, it teaches accountability and cooperation to the athletes which will benefit them for a lifetime.
The bottom line—we know what it takes to get results and will help you get them.
