Private Fitness Training

Train one-on-one private fitness training sessions with Michael or one of our trainers. Allow us to motivate you to achieve your goals. Contact us for availability and to talk about package deals. You will never pay an initiation fee or a membership fee—only per session. Package sessions expire 6 months after purchase.


Small Group Training

In a tough economic time, saving money is everything. If the Kettlebell Training Class or Functional Bootcamp Class is not for you, then consider our Small Group Training option. It’s less expensive than personal training, but provides more personal attention than a large class at a typical gym.

Here is how it works: Classes consist of a trainer and up to five other people. Each person has their own plan based on their individual Performance Screen. The trainer simply floats between clients to ensure proper technique is being used. This is the preferred way to train at Foundation. It is cost effective and more fun!

We also do discounted rates for predetermined workout groups. Got a lunch crew, a dawn patrol group, or an after work crew? Contact us for great rates and a great workout plan!

Kettlebell Training

The kettlebell is a traditional Russian cast iron weight that has gained popularity in the US in the last few years. The Kettlebell Strength & Tone Class is intended to increase strength, endurance, agility and balance, challenging both the muscular and cardiovascular systems with dynamic, total-body movements.

If aerobics class is not your thing, but fat loss and being toned is, kettlebell training is for you. It will be the most efficient workout you have ever done!

Functional Bootcamp Class

Come and experience the best exercise class on the planet! No two classes are ever the same and no other Fitness Bootcamps in Carlsbad can compare. This class utilizes all aspects of training allowing for a high degree of variety and lots of fun. We take a functional approach to the bootcamp format.

All workouts are adjusted to each individual’s needs, so you can control the intensity. Some classes will be more aerobic and others more strength-based, but all will be fun and challenging.

Sports-Specific Training

Get the edge you need to stay ahead or to get the college coaches to notice you. Our programs are designed based on needs of the individual. There are no stock sports-specific training programs at Foundation Health & Performance. We assess every athlete to determine the most productive way to make each individual better. We meet with you to discuss your goals and current ability level. Training is age appropriate and aimed at creating the proper foundation for increasing strength, speed, and overall athletic performance.

Training is available for individuals, small groups, and teams (up to 20 athletes at a time). Athletes train with a low coach-to-athlete ratio. Programs are set up in 4, 6, 9, and 12-week training plans. Training sessions can be 2, 3, or 4 days a week. Athletes can train preseason and during season.

Pole Vault Preseason Training Program

Foundation offers a one-of-a-kind program for pole vaulters. We have preseason training programs starting as early as September for the spring track season. Programs consist of strength and power training, vaulting drills, speed development, basic pole vault gymnastics, and pole vaulting. Each athlete is evaluated using the Foundation Performance Screen and programs are developed to cater to individual needs. Programs are designed in 4-16 week increments. This is a great way to increase the safety and productivity during the track season when the athlete trains at his or her school. The emphasis is on building strong fundamentals in the event and sending the athlete to their coach better than the season before.
